Registering “Going Green” Actions and Testimonials

To get your “Going Green Flag”, you have to complete 2 actions and register them with a Testimonial on HarvardEnergize.To learn how:

1. If you still need to do so, please sign up for HarvardEnergize.  This is an easy to navigate, interactive program.

2. Once registered, document your climate actions by checking those that you want “to do” or have “done.” HarvardEnergize offers 20 different actions small and large.

3. Post testimonials about at least two of the actions you have completed. Testimonials can consist for a few sentences (with optional photo) describing a vendor you would recommend or insights you gained. All testimonials are subject to approval to ensure a streamlined and positive experience.

4. Once your testimonials are approved, we’ll deliver a flag to your home for display at roadside.

Here’s one example of a website contributor’s perspective on the benefits of this initiative: “I was thrilled to see what others had written too! Reading them generated all kinds of good feelings, renewed my sense of community, and, critically, gave me hope––like a ‘we can do it!’ feeling.”

Please join us in taking this next step to make invisible actions visible. The testimonials you provide on HarvardEnergize will serve as an inspiration to others. Moreover, the website will estimate the carbon footprint reduction resulting from your actions, expressed in terms of trees planted, cars removed from the road, or metric tons of carbon saved.
