HARVARD’S REPAIR CAFE HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED! Repair Cafe Harvard is an HCIC initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to throwing things “away”.

What do you do with a broken toaster, lamp that doesn’t turn on, or sweater with moth holes? Toss them? No way!

Volunteer repair experts will be available to help make repairs free of charge for small electrical appliances, clothing, furniture, toys, and other broken wireless items. Additionally we will have someone to sharpen hand tools and knives. Visitors are asked to bring an item from home, plus one or two spares. If time permits, our repair experts will try to fix them all.

Repair Cafe Harvard is an HCIC initiative promoting repair as an alternative to tossing things out.  Repairing reduces waste and the demand for new products which conserves precious resources.  By reducing the waste going into landfills, the resulting methane gas is reduced.  Methane is a greenhouse gas that is more potent than CO2.

Walk-ins are welcome but it would be helpful if you register in advance – even if you already registered for the original event.

We plan to host Repair Cafe’s periodically so please, come and help us make this a great success!
