Mark Durrenberger, Founder and President of New England Clean Energy has been installing solar electric systems and battery systems for 17 years.

In this presentation, Mark talks about how solar electric and battery systems work together and the tax and other incentives for both, along with some of the considerations and challenges for battery and solar installations.

New England Clean Energy was the solar installer for the state’s first Solarize program in Harvard, MA in 2012. During that project, they installed more than 70 solar electric systems. As of February 6, 2024 they installed more than 140 systems in Harvard and more than 2,500 systems across Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and Rhode Island.
